"As they passed the rows of houses they saw through the open doors that men were sweeping and dusting and washing dishes, while the women sat around in groups, gossiping and laughing. "What has happened?" the Scarecrow asked a sad-looking man with a bushy beard, who wore an apron and was wheeling a baby-carriage along the sidewalk. "Why, we've had a revolution, your Majesty -- as you ought to know very well," replied the man; "and since you went away the women have been running things to suit themselves. I'm glad you have decided to come back and restore order, for doing housework and minding the children is wearing out the strength of every man in the Emerald City." "Hm!" said the Scarecrow, thoughtfully. "If it is such hard work as you say, how did the women manage it so easily?" "I really do not know," replied the man, with a deep sigh. "Perhaps the women are made of cast-iron.""

Is he to kicking what Vince Young is to quarterbacking?

At this point I'd feel better if we had Vince Young kicking for us.

Unless we make the playoffs and Brown pulls off some miracle kicks, I think it's time to part ways with Brown.

What happened?

I think his problem is between the ears. It's hard to watch. A missed PAT?

On a brighter note, though - we won the game. And now we're sitting here watching the Bengals, hoping against hope that they'll beat the Jets so we can GO TO THE PLAYOFFS!

The Jets are, unfortunately, owning them right now.

But hey, on the bright side, the Texans finally had a winning season, and perhaps more important, actually showed themselves that they can play football in the fourth quarter. Who knows, maybe the Pats game was a turning point.

It was definitely fun to watch. I admit that early in the fourth quarter I was all in "here we go again" mode, and predicted a Texans loss. Then they woke up and showed me up.

I'm thrilled w the winning season. I think if a few things fall their way, another good draft, and - most importantly - health for their stars like Shaub, Johnson, Daniels, Cushing, Williams, etc - and getting a decent running back (hey, I like this Foster guy) - they are in for a ten win season next year and the playoffs.
