HOUSTON -- The U2 show at Reliant was magnificent. We were able to secure "seats" in the inner circle, about five feet from the rail, perfectly positioned between Bono and The Edge. I don't have time to give a full breakdown of the show, but here's a photo we took of Bono:

The sound sounded good to me. We were about that close -- closer, actually -- to Edge back in 2005, and the sound sounded good then too.
The main drawback was we had to cock our heads back pretty far to see the screen, and they had some cool stuff on the screen at times.
If we would have been on the rail it wouldn't have been as good a vantage point because the 360 stage is higher up and we wouldn't have had a good view of Larry Mullen Jr., or the screen for that matter.
If I had my choice of where to be for another show, I'd pick the exact same spot we were in.
Wow Big T Bird you were only a few feet from me. I'm in Houston right now hanging out at MD Anderson and the hotel.

That you got so close is incredible.
Is the sound distorted that close to the stage? Is there a trade-off for being in the very front?
